Alex Ferguson Names The Player He Regrets Not Signing For Man United

Former Man United manager Alex Ferguson has named Paul Gascoigne as one player he regrets not bringing to Old Trafford when he was the coach of the Red Devils.

Ferguson joined Man United from Aberdeen and wanted Paul Gascoigne as one of the players to work with but it never happened as the midfielder ended up signing for Tottenham for a fee of £2.2million.

Gascoigne went on to become one of the most successful English players of his time, in addition to his great skills and personality.

When asked the player he regrets not signing, Ferguson told United’s UTD Podcast that "In reality, you have to say, the only one that always comes to my mind and that's Gascoigne. "He was absolutely fantastic. I think if we'd have got him, he would have had a great career, I really do. I'm not saying he didn't have a good career but he would have had a better career with us.
