Power was not given freely to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, he worked for it – says Wike

In news published by the Daily Post Newspaper yesterday evening, Nyesom Wike,  Governor of the River state disclosed that power was not given freely to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu. According to Nyesom Wike, President-elect, Bola Tinubu worked hard to get it.

Governor Wike said this on Wednesday at a banquet in honor of President-elect, Tinubu, who was in Rivers State to commission some of the governor’s legacy projects. However, Governor Wike recounted how the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu gifted him a white wine in the early hours of the day when he visited him at a residential home in 2018.

According to Governor Wike, he tried to persuade Tinubu to support one of the presidential candidates of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, for the 2019 presidential election.

According to Wike, he asked Bola Tinubu to support one of the Presidential candidates in the People's Democratic Party.j I heard you cannot find your feet in APC. Why not join our great party, PDP, to come to support one of these candidates to win the 2019 election presidential election? However, Bola Tinubu replied, he will not dump President Buhari. If Buhari will emerge 200 times, he won't dump APC for the PDP's Presidential candidate.
