There has been lots of argument whether private universities produce competent and well certified graduates or public university should be given the accolades for the production of competent and well certified graduates.

In the view of this, the academic staff union of universities, the northern chapter reacted to the newly established private universities with the claim that what the federal government did is not right, because there has been gross rates of graduate that can't defend their certification.

He also noted that having private school is good, as it helps to reduce load on public universities but most of the private varsities operate below standard and in most cases push out graduates with empty brains who will not impact the growth and development of the country positively.

Dr. Lazarus Magoro the chairman of ASUU, Jos chapter further seek that the federal government create agencies that will monitor the private universities in terms of the quality of education proffered to their undergraduates is nothing but solid, authentic and the abrupt standard.
