Abia stinking, needs urgent cleansing - Bishop Onuoha

Co-chair of Interfaith Peace and Dialogue Forum, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, has bemoaned the condition of Abia State, saying that “the state is stinking and needs cleansing”.

Bishop Onuoha who is the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2023 poll, said that if voted into power, he would declare prayers and solemn assembly in the first week of his inauguration for a spiritual cleansing of the state.

Ajimobi sues for peace in Ibadan

Alhaji Idris Ajimobi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly candidate for Ibadan South-West II Constituency, has called for peaceful coexistence between Yoruba, and Hausa residents.

This is contained in a statement by his Media Aide, Lateef Alade, made available to journalists on Monday in Ibadan.

He reacted to Sunday’s clash between the Hausa and Yoruba people in the Ibadan South West Local Government Area of the state.

Zinox Group begins graduates’recruitment

As part of its efforts to ameliorate the harsh economic crunch on the youth, indigenous technology conglomerate, the Zinox Group, has offered employment to a batch of unemployed graduates who scaled through its internship.

The successful graduates, numbering over 50 out of over 5,000 qualified applicants drawn from various parts of the country, were among the second batch of participants who passed through a 30-day intensive Mini-MBA training programme organised by the Zinox Institute of Technology (ZIT).

Nearly 20 million Nigerians are infected with Hepatitis B or C, the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has said.

He stated this in Abuja on Monday during the launch of the national strategic framework for viral hepatitis and the flag-off ceremony of a nationwide hepatitis awareness campaign, in commemoration of this year’s World Hepatitis Day themed ‘Bringing Hepatitis Care Closer to You.
