Former Arsenal football club of England captain and forward maestro, Alexandre Lacazette was impressive yesterday for French Ligue 1 giant, Olympique Lyon in their 36th league game of the season at home against AS Monaco at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
The 31 year old France international who has been enjoying a blistering goal scoring form so far this season since his second spell at the club was handed a role to play in his team's starting XI line-up, and he was able to replicate another top notch performance as he played instrumental role in the well deserved comeback victory.
Alexandre Lacazette in the whole 90 minutes duration of the game was a big threat for the host in the opposition box where he played pivotal role which as such got him directly involved in two of his team's three goals, courtesy of a goal and a brilliant assist that made him a strong contender in the Golden Boot race.
Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Maxence Caqueret and Rayan Cherki gave the host the three goals while the visitor got the only goal of the night from Wissam Ben Yedder.
Alexandre Lacazette with his only goal of the night has now scored his 26th league goal of the season which as such made him levelled with Paris Saint Germain's Kylian Mbappe as the current joint-top scorer in the competition.
He will then be hoping to keep the tempo and momentum going for his team in the next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
