Last night was a good time for fans of Manchester United and Chelsea as both Premier League teams sealed a place in the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League.
Defending champions Chelsea welcomed Italian giants Juventus to Stamford Bridge. The Blues needed a draw to seal qualification but ended up tearing the Old Ladies apart.
Goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner sent Chelsea top of Group H with a healthy goal difference.
Likewise, Manchester United travelled to Spain and gave a resounding performance against Villarreal. In Micheal Carrick first game as interim manager, the Red Devils outplayed the Submarines with Ronaldo and Sancho getting the goals.
While going through the match timeline I noticed something about Reece James, Cristiano Ronaldo & Jadon Sancho. All three players had something in common apart from getting on the scoresheet -they all wore the same type of boots yesterday (A purple Nike boot)
Reece James was voted Man of the Match by Chelsea supporters after his beautiful goal. The Chelsea academy graduate is Chelsea's best player at the moment with 5 goals & 5 assists.
Cristiano Ronaldo got his 6th goal in 5 matches and has now scored in every match-day of this season's UCL, while Jadon Sancho got his first goal since joining the Red Devils.
