Super Eagles of Nigeria Midfielder Joel Chukwuma Obi captained his Italian serie B club Chievo Verona to a 2-0 home victory over Pisa football club, in the week 32 of the Italian serie B on Monday night.
The former Inter Milan football club of Italy star retained his spot in coach Alfredo Aglietti led team, and he was able to impress, as he coordinated the midfield well.
Joel Obi started in the Midfield alongside Luca Palmiero, Luigi Canotto, and Luca Garritano, and they were all fantastic for the home team.
The host opened scoring through Luca Garritano in the third minutes, with a fine goal, to end the first half 1-0.
Manuel De Luca doubled the lead in the 71st minutes with another classic goal, to end the match 2-0.
Joel Obi was impressive for the home team throughout the whole duration of the game, and he was able to inspire his team to a deserved victory.
The 2-0 victory over Pisa football club has now taken Chievo Verona FC to the 7th spot of the Italian serie B League table with 48 points from 32 matches played.
