In the face of insecurity challenges facing the country, the Rivers State Governor, Chief Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike have announced curfew in all part of the state.
Governor Wike who announce this during a state wide broadcast on Thursday, said that the decision was taken at the state security council meeting to put a precautionary measure on the security Challenges facing the nation.
He said that the curfew will start from today 29th of April, 2021 between 10pm to 6am till further notice.
According to him, there will be restrictions for vehicular movement within this period and there will be no human movement between 10pm to 6am in all 23 local government area of the state till further notice.
Governor Wike however advised the citizens to report any strange movement in their area to the nearest police station for further action.
Wike said all citizens should adhere to this directive for the good of the state.
Recalled that the state government earlier this week declared curfew in all land border of Rivers State between 10pm to 6am.
The movement restrictions have now been spread to all the state till further notice.
