Patrick Vieira, a legendary player for Arsenal, said that the club's recent poor play may be directly attributed to the fact that William Saliba was injured and unable to play.

This season, Saliba has established himself as one of the top defenders in the Premier League thanks to the significant role he has played in Arsenal's success.
According to Viera, ever since the Frenchman had a back ailment, the Gunners have been on a losing streak and have allowed several goals.

"Losing Saliba has been a big one for them because he was giving them this kind of physical presence," Vieira said to Sky Sports.
It was incredibly tough for the two center-backs to play against Manchester City and Erling Haaland, and losing [William Saliba] was the beginning of Arsenal losing games and allowing goals after that.

The Frenchman is dealing with an injury at the moment and has been out for Arsenal's past five matches. Saliba is also anticipated to miss Arsenal's next Premier League encounter, which will take place this weekend against Newcastle.
