On 18th July, 2022 the Executive Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje paid a congratulatory visit to the former Governor of Borno State on his nomination as Vice Presidential Candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Kashim Shettima at his residence in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
Governor Umar Ganduje was accompanied by some of his allies to congratulate Senator Kashim as he was picked by the National Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) and also a Presidential Candidate of the party, Chief Bola Asiwaju Tinubu as his running mate in the 2023 General Election. Governor Ganduje congratulates and wishes him success in his new political journey.

Both Governor Umar Ganduje and Senator Kashim Shettima are some of the backbones behind the victory of Chief Bola Asiwaju Tinubu in the recently conducted APC Presidential Primary Election. They stood by his side during the recent APC National Convention by showing their support, encouragement and campaigning for Chief Bola Tinubu.
