According to the Northern group, they made a statement on Friday, as they reacted to those seeking for the presidential election to be cancelled. According to them, they made a statement saying "Those calling for the cancellation of Saturday’s presidential election are enemies of the country".
The Northern group went further to say that there's no election that's perfect all over the world, so therefore, calling for the cancellation of the presidential election is uncalled for. The CNF spokesman, identified as Abdulsalam Kazeem, reacted to Olusegun Obasanjo's statement. Also, the president elect, Tinubu, noted that those candidates that wants the election to be cancelled are the enemies of democracy.
The Northern group went further to say that the election has been conducted already and the INEC chairman has declared Tinubu as the president elect. He was trying to say that despite the fact that other parties lost, doesn't mean that they should declare they election cancelled. Kindly share your reactions via the comment section below.
