A close ally of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Doyin Okupe, met with the governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Okupe, who is a former director general of the Obi-Datti Campaign Council, was seen alighting from a jet with Abiodun in a video circulating on social media.

This comes a few weeks after Peter Obi was defeated by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
While clarifying his visit to the APC governor, Okupe said Dapo Abiodun is his close cousin and they are related by blood. The Labour Party chieftain added that Dapo Abiodun had earlier paid him a visit to his residence while he was in Lagos.
However, the video has generated a lot of reactions on social media. Some users blasted Okupe for paying a visit to the APC governor. while others said that politics shouldn't be a war.
