Kylian Mbappe speaks out on his PSG future following another early Champions League exit

Kylian Mbappe could leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season following another humiliating early exit from the Champions League. Bayern Munich are into the Champions League quarter-finals for the fourth consecutive season after seeing off Paris Saint-Germain by a 3-0 aggregate score-line in the last 16. PSG, meanwhile, have failed to get past this stage for the fifth time in seven years. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored the killer goal against his former club, before substitute Serge Gnabry made certain of Bayern’s win in the final moments.

Mbappe was unable to save PSG as they lost 2-0 against Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16 second-leg tie. Goals from Eric Choupo-Moting and Serge Gnabry completed a 3-0 aggregate victory for the Bundesliga champions despite Mbappe, Lionel Messi and other players creating a lot of chances.

‘I’m calm,’ Mbappe said when asked about his future. ‘The only thing that matters to me is this season, to win the league, and then we’ll see.’ On PSG’s elimination, he added: ‘We’re going to question ourselves and then return to our daily life, the league. ‘We have to move on… We lost against a great team, trying to win the tournament.’
