Wike rescues Nunieh from Police invasion.

The Rivers State Governor. Chief Nyesom Wike backed up his words with action when he intervened in the arrest of Joy Nunieh and relocated her to Government House.

This morning, police officers stormed the home of Joy Nunieh, a former Chairman of NDDC at #3 Owuru Creek view, off Herbert Macaulay street, old GRA, Port Harcourt.

Joy Nunieh was recently sacked by the Minister of Niger Delta, Sen. Godswill Akpabio for insubordination. Since then, a war of words has ensued between them over allegations of corruption. Nunieh had accused Akpabio of Fraud, budget padding, and sexual harassment, she also claimed to have slapped Akpabio when he tried to exploit her.

In the heat of the broil, Wike. warned Akpabio that nothing should happen to Joy Nunieh. So when the police came to her house this morning to arrest her, Wike interceded and now Joy Nunieh is a resident of Government House. The question is, how long can Wike protect her if she has genuine questions to answer before the law.
