REPORTS: Barcelona plotting €30million transfer move for 24-year-old forward next summer

Even though the summer transfer window had just been wrapped up, several European football clubs are already planning ahead in order to get more players into their clubs next summer.

La Liga side, Barcelona are not exempted though after an horrible start to the 2020/2021 season so far.

The Camp Nou side have only won two of their first five games in the league this season and are currently rooted in 8th position on the LaLiga table.

And due to their disappointing start to the season, the Blaugrana are already looking forward to adding new players to their squad next summer.

And if reports are anything to go by, then FC Barcelona are interested in signing Porto forward Luiz Diaz when the next summer transfer window opens.

The 24-year-old Colombia International, who joined FC Porto from Colombian club Junior in 2019 has been very impressive since he made the move.

The young forward was particularly in stellar form for Porto in the 2020/2021 season where he scored 11 goals and provided 6 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions for the club.

He has so far been impressive this season as well, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 8 appearances so far.

His excellent performances in front of goal is said to have attracted the interest of several football clubs across Europe and according to reports from popular news channel Barca Universal, Barcelona are keen on signing him next summer.

Its no longer news that the Camp Nou side are somewhat short of creative players in their attack line and are believed to be preparing a move in the region of €30million to sign him.

The reports further claimed that the President of Barcelona Joan Laporta is interested in signing Luiz Diaz as he sees him as a replacement for misfiring forward Philippe Coutinho.

That said, it remains to be seen if FC Barcelona will be able to cough up the needed transfer fee and get a deal over the line to sign Luiz Diaz next summer.
