What Happened On Wednesday Night Was Not An Attempt To Kidnap Or Kill Anybody - Akeredolu

In the early hours of today, reports came in that there was an attack at the Craneburg Construction Company in Owo, Ondo State.

While responding to the attack, the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has said the Wednesday shooting at the Construction Company in Owo was aimed at destroying some of their equipment and not to kidnap or kill anybody.

The Governor visited the construction site with the Heads of Security Agencies in the State including the Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Chief Tunji Adeleke, he told the people not to panic at all.

Akeredolu was also accompanied to the site by the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Raimi Aminu, and the Special Adviser on Union Matters and Strategy, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye.

According to the governor, “I want to relax the fear of our people. Clearly, what happened here on Wednesday night was not in any attempt to kidnap anyone, because they went away with nobody and in the premises we have over hundred of people living there."
