The well-known Islamic preacher Sheikh Gumi has received a message of sorrow from Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi on the passing of his mother.

According to reports, the Islamic cleric's mother passed away yesterday (Sunday) at 5:30 pm, and she was buried that same night in accordance with Islamic customs.
Using his verified Facebook page, the Islamic cleric relayed the distressing news to the general world. He broke the news of her passing while also sharing her final words before passing away.
Peter Obi expressed his sincere sorrow over the family's suffering as a result of the loss of their cherished mother by sending a message of sympathy to the Islamic cleric via his Twitter account. He also asks God to give the cleric's entire family strength and comfort in the face of their irreplaceable loss.
Peter Obi tweeted: "I send my sincere condolences to Sheikh Gumi, an Islamic scholar and cleric, over the death of his beloved mother. I cannot begin to imagine the pains the family are going through at the moment.
"I pray that God will strengthen you and comfort the entire Gumi family over her irreplaceable loss, and grant her eternal rest".
