With only a few days until Nigerian eligible voters return to their respective polling units to vote for their preferred governorship candidates across the country, former Lagos State Governor Ayodele Fayose has claimed that the Labour Party's candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, cannot win.

Gbadebo will run against the incumbent governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the upcoming election. The Peoples Democratic Party is also opposed to Sanwo-Olu. Ayodele Fayose claimed on today's episode of your view on TVC that Gbadebo will not win because he cannot communicate in Yoruba.
According to him: "Nobody will hand over Lagos to someone who does not speak Yoruba. The Labour Party and the PDP are incapable of delivering in Lagos. They cannot discard the baby due to contaminated water. Lagosians should re-elect Sanwo-Olu as governor. Nigeria's commercial center is Lagos State."
