There Is No Way LP Can Pose Threat To PDP In The North, We Are Contesting With APC- Ladan Salihu

A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ladan Salihu has dismissed the chances of Peter Obi winning the presidential election.

Speaking on the likely outcome of the elections in an interview with Channels TV, Ladan Salihu who was highly optimistic of Atiku Abubakar's chances, argued that the Labour Party does not have the needed numerical strength to compete with the Peoples Democratic Party in the northern part of the country.

He said unlike the PDP which has governors and senators, the Labour Party do not boast of any governor or senator to help them win the coming elections.

He said the lack of numbers will be a great hindrance to the chances of Labour Party winning the election, and that there's no way the party can pose a threat to the PDP in the northern part of the country where they believe that the only party they are in contest with is the APC.

Ladan Salihu noted that even the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu is not a worthy contender in the race. He said they've already defeated him even before the elections start.

Ladan Salihu said "When you look at the formation of the political parties and their structures on the ground, the Labour Party does not have representation on the ground in the north, no governors, no senators, they won't make the numbers.

"My heart goes out to the Labour Party for not having the kind of numbers to compete. There is no way Labour Party (LP) can pose a threat to the PDP in the north, we are contesting literally with the APC. But we are not worried, we are not losing sleep over beating Bola Tinubu because, that has been done and dusted as far as I'm concerned."
