OBI- dients are currently voicing out their anger after the nation' s new President- Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu called on the nation' s security agencies to caution Peter Obi over inciting comments capable of ruining the peace of the nation
It is no secret that Peter Obi is challenging the 2023 Presidential election that led to the former Lagos state Governor being announced as the next President of Nigeria by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He has dragged the INEC to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, and was granted permission by the court to have access to the election materials used during the Presidential election. Bola Tinubu has been silent on Peter Obi' s move to challenge the election that gave him his mandate until recently where he claimed that he was in support of aggrieved Presidential candidates going through the legal process to challenge the election.
In a report by Vanguard Newspapers, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has asked security agencies in the country to caution the presidential candidate of the Labour Party LP, Mr Peter Obi against making incendiary comments capable of throwing the nation into a tailspin.
" We also advise the NBC to caution TV houses giving Obi the platform to de- legitimise a free and fair election, when he has taken his case to court" , he stated. In a statement released via his Director, Media and Publicity at his campaign council, Mr Bayo Onanuga, adding that " We are worried about his (Peter Obi) recent media rounds on Arise TV and Channels TV, in which he made profoundly misleading".
