Spokesperson of the APC presidential campaign council, Femi Fani-Kayode has taken to social media to state that he starts seeing those set of people who believe their pastors cannot be wrong in their statements, as people that are not born of God. He made such statement on Instagram.
The former aviation minister who spoke about such issue through his official Instagram page, directed his message to an undisclosed pastor who he chose not to mention his name, because of the love and respect he has for him over the past 20 years.
However, Femi Fani-Kayode stated that the decision of such pastor to tell those criticizing Archbishop John Onaiyekan to keep quiet is a bit much, adding that Christianity is not a religion for slaves and every Christian has a right to make his/her own choices when it comes to politics.
Speaking further, Femi Fani-Kayode noted that;
"We are not servants or slaves to our pastors but children of the living God. The minute you tell me that your pastor can never be wrong, I know that you are in error, that you have become his slave and that you are no longer God's servant or child".
Femi Fani-Kayode went ahead to disclose that the Nigerian people have spoken and the they must all submit to their will, respect their decision and accept their choice, adding that such pastor do not have to like the winner of the presidential election but he must accept the fact that Bola Ahmed Tinubu won such election.
