According to a recent report by Vanguard, it was reported that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, has mourned the death of actor Murphy Afolabi.
The Yoruba movie actor and director , Murphy Afolabi death was made known to the public by the president of the Yoruba movies , Seun Oloketuyi .
It was reported that the actor slump in the bathroom which results to its untimely death . Afolabi death came less than 24 hours after the death of Saint Obi another Nollywood star was made public .
Obi react to the death of the Nollywood actor and commiserate with their families over the sad occurrence .
He wrote , " The sad news is just reaching my side , the death of obinna Nwafor , popularly know as Saint Obi and Murphy Afolabi , both are Nigeria actors and filmmakers . They both contributed to building Nollywood and Nigeria entertainment industry ".
