Popular Nollywood actress, Monica Erero, has opened up regarding the reason why it is hard to see a fat woman in the Nigerian movie industry. In a video she posted on her official Instagram account yesterday, Monica revealed that fat women are going through a lot of things at the hands of the producers.
She stated that during her early days in Nollywood, some producers wanted to sleep with her before they could give her a role because she is a fat woman. She said it is hard to see fat women in the movie industry because directors and producers don't give them roles unless they ask for something in return.
"I made a video, and some people said I was advocating for fat women because I'm fat too. People need to understand that fat women are being bullied a lot because of their big stomachs and bellies. Some producers wanted to sleep with me before they could use me in their movies because I'm fat." She stated.
