The president-elect of the just concluded Nigeria presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has reacted to the incident that took place in Ikeja, Lagos state by saying his deepest condolences go to the victims and families of those involved in the train crash. In his speech, Bola Tinubu disclosed that he will continue to pray for the departed souls.
He further stated that he is ready to offer assistance to the government of Lagos state in any form to make sure that survivors of the incident get good medical assistance.
He said, “I offer my sincere condolences to the victims and families affected by the gory incident involving a train and a bus in the Ikeja area of Lagos State. I am praying for all, including those who died and those who sustained injuries in the incident. My thoughts are with them and with the Lagos State Government, even as I continue to follow the emergency response efforts closely and offer support, where necessary, to ensure that survivors and others involved receive the best care.”
