I Am not Pleased With President Buhari For Refusing To Pay Our July Salary—An Abuja-based Soldier

It has been confirmed by Punch News that amidst the biting inflation and the level of poverty in Nigeria, some personnel of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force have complained about how their July salaries were delayed and yet to be paid.

According to the information gathered by Punch News from an Abuja-based soldier, he said he is not pleased with President Muhammadu Buhari and his service chiefs for refusing to pay their July 2022 salaries after they worked extraordinarily when the Kuje prison break occurred to counter the attacks of terrorists in the capital city, Abuja.

A female naval officer has also lamented that she has not been paid her July salary as well.

How does the government expect them to work hard when they are being denied their rights by withholding their July salary?

A soldier who is a member of the Nigerian Air Force remarked, "This is becoming the norm.

" Our April salary was postponed this year in the same manner by the federal government, and they are doing it again.

The military leaders and President Buhari's refusal to pay our salaries when they are due perplexes us.
