If Atiku Will Not Accept Reconciliation Gesture From Us, He Should Go Back To Dubai – Festus Keyamo

The Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, in a report on Punch News, has asked the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to quietly relocate back to Dubai if he is not going to honour the reconciliation gesture the President elect of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is extending to him and his other political opponents.

Festus Keyamo pointed that there was no way Atiku should have expected himself to win the Presidential election after allegedly causing a division within his party. Reacting to Atiku's declaration to challenge the result of the 2023 Presidential election in court, Festus Keyamo said that the APC will be up and ready to meet the Nigerian former vice President in court.

He, however concluded that the President elect is extending a peaceful call to his opponents and that if Atiku is not going to honour such call, he should relocate to Dubai.

Keyamo's statement partly reads: "Atiku’s bid for the presidency this time around was dead on arrival when his inordinate ambition fractured his party into three parts, with Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwanso and Mr. Peter Obi breaking away to the NNPP and the Labour Party respectively. The massive loss he suffered in the traditional PDP zones and states is a clear testament to this. One wonders, then, how he expected to have won the elections."

"Atiku’s decision to challenge the outcome of the results is welcome. We are prepared to meet his challenge, no matter the nature of the challenge, anywhere, and anytime. If he is not embracing the olive branch extended to him and other losers in the 2023 elections by the President-elect, Tinubu, the least he can do is to quietly relocate to Dubai which has become his traditional home base."
