Bola Ahmed Tinubu shouldn't worry about how he won Rivers State, according to Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike. APC won Rivers state for the first time in the history of the state thanks to Tinubu, who teamed up with Nyesom Wike to garner more than 25% of the vote in the state. The governor of Rivers stated during a dinner in Bola Tinubu's honor that the election outcome in his state was based on the principles of equity and fairness. He asserted that the people of Rivers state had acted historically by ensuring that power was restored to the South. He made it absolutely clear that they didn't participate in any anti-party activities. He asserts that the country is bigger than all of the political parties put together.
He explained that the question of where we were going in the presidential election was simple: we had decided to back the APC governors' call for national unity. Because equity and fairness must prevail, it is time for the presidency to relocate to the South. Only those who lack knowledge have ever struggled to find the right words, not us.
Since the Unity of Nigeria is more important than any political party, we refrained from antiparty activity. The party's charter was broken by those who displayed antiparty behavior. The fact that I contributed to Tinubu's victory in Rivers State is therefore unimportant and should not worry anyone. We only need to thank the Rivers people for expressing their intention to join the chorus of those who think that correct procedures should be followed in order for our country to advance after observing the state of the country.
