Former Manchester United football club of England forward, Edinson Cavani was spectacular tonight for Spanish La Liga Santander giant Valencia in their 33rd league game of the season against Quique Setien led Villarreal team at the Estadio de Mestella.
The 36 year old Uruguayan international and former Paris Saint Germain star retained his spot in his team's starting XI line-up following his outstanding performance for the team in their previous game.
Edinson Cavani in the game was a big threat for the host at the heart of the attacking line where he played his part and also contributed his quota, thereby created a couple of chances which were instrumental in helping his team salvaged a point in the two-goal thriller.
The first half of the game hanged on the balance with nothing separating the two sides going into the half time break which ended goalless draw.
The two sides in the second half of the game stepped up their game as they put up some more physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to found the back of the net until the 62nd minute when Nicolas Jackson gave the visitor the lead to make it one nil.
The host after conceding the lead got their form back on track as they also got levelled courtesy of an equalizer in the 72nd minute, as Samuel Lino got on the score sheet to make it one all draw which was the final scoreline at full time.
Edinson Cavani with his top notch delivery in the game will be hoping to keep the momentum going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
