The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has revealed what the President said he will miss most when he hands over power to the new administration on May 29th, 2023. Femi Adesina said that Buhari disclosed this in London two weeks ago when he and other media personnel in the State House asked him what he will miss most when he leaves office.
In his article which was published by The Punch on Friday, May 19th, Adesina said that President Buhari said that he will miss the good people he worked with when he came into power eight years ago.
He said - "In London two weeks ago, I and some of our media colleagues in the State House had asked the President what he would miss most when he leaves office. His response: 'I'll miss good people that we have worked together in the past eight years, like some of you here'."
Adesina said that he has served the President to the best of his ability through thick and thin, and that he has no regrets whatsoever.
He said that in serving the President, whom he described as 'the honest Fulani man', he has deliberately been misunderstood by some people, and that he has lost good friends, family members, and brethren in the church who could not understand why he was so loyal to Buhari. He said that he told them that Buhari was not the way they thought, and that he was in fact the opposite of what they thought, yet they refused to budge, and he had to go his own way.
He added that in their place, he has also made new friends who share the same love for Buhari.
