Dino Melaye, a former senator, recently discussed his upcoming political move following the just-completed presidential race in an interview with the Punch Newspaper.

Dino Melaye, a former senator, said, "I have a strong sense that I will win the governorship race in Kogi state. He added, "I have actually obtained the forms for the governorship seat in my state. I completed the forms and submitted them as well.
The kogi gubernatorial primaries for my political party will take place the following week, said Dino Melaye, a former lawmaker. The gubernatorial election will then take place in November of this year.
Dino Melaye said in regards to the results of the presidential election, "Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his supporters should not rejoice yet because Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would have won the election if the votes had not been tampered with. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) head, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, must only resign. We anticipate that the poll will be held again after he steps down.
