If Ole Is Sacked, Who Do You Tip To Take Over From Him As The Man Utd Manager?

The calls and chants to sack the embattled Manchester United coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have gained momentum after their defeat in the Manchester derby. Many fans of Manchester United across the globe, football analysts, including former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand, have openly called for the immediate sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Amidst these calls and chants to sack Ole, many coaches have been recommended, top in the list are Robert Mancini, Gareth Southgate, Brendan Rodgers, among others (Source, 90

In order for us to discuss the issues of preference, let us look at the nature of the Manchester United team and make recommendations to what the team needs at the moment. In this way, we can take a deeper projection of the and assess the profiles and qualities of the recommended coaches.

From all indication, Manchester United is among those teams that take coaches on long term basis. After the retirement of Alex Fergusson, the Red Devils have found it extremely difficult to get a suitable replacement. David Moyes, Luiz Van Gaal, and Jose Mourinho have all coached Manchester United in a very short while.

When Ole was appointed, the hope was high that he will restore the old glory and win trophies for the Red Devils. A lot have not gone as projected, and he is in crisis now.

There are two main things Manchester United team need to attain to their aspiration of winning trophies:

#1. Confidence and Wining Mentality: You can have all the best players in the world in a single team, if the team do not exact absolute confidence and imbibe winning spirit, there will performing below average. What Manchester United team need at this point is rebuilding their confidence and get their mindset back to their winning ways. From antecedent, the person that can do this better is either Brendan Rodgers or Gareth Southgate.

#2. Someone that can command respect and the players work hard to please him. Gareth Southgate is one coach that have exacted absolute command over his players. His gentle charisma endears him to players.

I clearly think that, if the call for the sack of Ole is considered, either Southgate or Brendan Rodgers should take up the job, not Manchini.

These are opinions.
