APC NWC Member Demands Resignation Of Adamu

Barely two weeks after the presidential election that produced the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President-elect, a member of the APC National Working Committee has called for reform that would give all party faithful a sense of belonging.

National Vice Chairman, North West of the APC, Salihu Lukman in a statement on Friday, titled; “APC Internal Dynamics and the Future of Democracy,” said the ruling party cultivated its demonisation with its Muslim Muslim ticket and must take conscious efforts to disabuse the minds of Nigerians, particularly the Christian faith that the party is integrative and belongs to all.

No Plans To Sack Workers - Kwara Gov

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Friday said he would not sack workers in the state civil service if elected as the governor for a second term.

Abdulrazaq, who spoke in Ilorin while receiving the new executive members of the Kwara State council of the Nigeria Labour Congress led by its chairman, Saheed Olayinka, dismissed the claim that he would sack workers in his second term as a wicked rumour being peddled by members of the opposition.


INEC Chairman Threatens Lawsuit After PDP's Rigging Allegation

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu has said the allegation that he rigged the presidential election could lead to a lawsuit.

The electoral chief issued a reply to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after the leadership, on Friday, asked him to resign.

Senator-elect for Kano Central, Rufai Hanga has said that with the Supreme Court judgement that made INEC declare him the winner of the Senatorial election for Kano Central instead of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau whose name was earlier announced, the truth has prevailed and he is extremely grateful to Almighty Allah. 

He said in an interview that he does not even know why in the first place, the Electoral body would announce the name of Shekarau who was not even a member of the party that was on the ballot.

The President of Pentecostal Sanctuary Bible Ministries, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Prophet Sunday Dare Iyunade, has assured Nigerians that the transformation they have been clamouring for will soon begin.

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress will meet with the party’s senators-elect and members of the House of Representatives-elect on Monday.

The meeting, which is scheduled to be held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, will start at 2pm.
