Gunmen Kidnap Prominent Igbo Chief in Southwest

Chief Donatus Okereke, the Eze Ndigbo of Ifon in Ose local government in Ondo, was on Monday, November 22, kidnapped by gunmen.

According to our sources reports had it that Chief Okereke's kidnap was carried out at the exact location where the late Oluifon of Ifon, Oba Isreal Adeusi, was recently murdered by some unknown gun men.

Currently, the whereabouts of Chief Donatus Okereke, is unknown.

Also statement from an Ifon community leader had it that, Olaniyi Eni Olotu, empty bullet shells were found close to the victim's vehicle.

According to him, the said kidnappers, took the victim through the bush parts, into the forest.

As soon as we got the report of his Abduction, the Regent of ifon swinged into action , by contacting the police and the Amotekun corps as well,"

There is also suspicions that the chief's kidnappers that kidnapped him stole some of his money in the course of the attack.
