A few weeks ago, the Deputy Majority leader of Ogbia ‘8’ legislative assembly and councilor representing Ogbia Ward ‘2’ in Bayelsa State, Honourable Miracle Tyna Onem, has kickstarted one of her ward projects at Otokpoti community.
The residents of Otokpoti had been using an unsafe wooden link bridge to connect the other section of the community as the area looks starved of government’s development programmes.
- Initial state of the link bridge.
However, Hon Miracle Tyna Onem, who is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is set to guarantee her people’s safety as she is now constructing a reinforced concrete link bridge to replace the outdated wooden bridge.
What many past politicians have failed to do, Hon Onem is now doing it and, as such, bringing some dividends of democracy to the villagers Otokpoti community.
The construction work is at its finishing stage and will be commissioned upon completion. Since work began, Hon Onem has been an ever-present face at the bridge; supervising and spurring the workers on.
- Hon. Onem at the construction site.
This is how to erect a solid and reliable link bridge for your constituents; not the wooden bridge shamelessly built by most politicians.
- Her post on the project.
