Nunieh made a Stunning Revelation about Akpabio’s Corrupt Act in the NDDC and Why she was Sacked

Former acting Managing Director of Niger delta development commission Joi Nunieh, made a stunning revelations about how Senator Akpabio have been running NDDC, and lay claims on why she was sacked, because she refused to cooperate with the Minister of Niger Delta in stealing the commissions funds.

Mrs Nunieh while answering questions from the investigative panel set up by the House of Representatives via link, the session was aired by many TV stations including TVC news. She started by saying “ I am very happy to be sacked because I couldn’t do what Senator Akpabio demanded.

The Senator upon assumption of office as the Minister of Niger Delta, have been trying to see how we can both loot the NDDC treasury, that is the beginning of my ordeal with him. He told me Madam if you do what I asked you to do I will sacked you. One of the things he asked me to do was sacking a northerner man in the commission due to tribalism. I refused because I told him I have no power under the law to sack, it is only the SGF who have such power.

Let me tell Nigerians because they have been saying that there is an ongoing forensic auditing, there is nothing of such going on. Mr Akpabio is trying to cover his tracks with all these lies. There was a time he called me and said Madam MD you have a poverty mentality, just because I don’t want to issue 10billion naira palliatives during the COVID-19 lockdown. Throughout my regime I only spent 8billion naira as against the 81billion naira Mr Akpabio said.

I have sent a text message he sent to my private cell, to these honourable committee to buttress my points. He further asked me to take an oath which if I have took that oath then I might be sentenced to life imprisonments.

I want Mr President to set up an investigative panel independently, so we can get to the root of these matter, and also I want the forensic audit to take place as soon as possible, because it will shed more light on the ravaging issue.

I have also written to the Nigeria police force to investigate, all the threat Mr Akpabio have been issuing out to me, and I will send all my hard copy evidences to the police force today for proper investigation to take place.
