Gbadebo Chinedu Patrick Rhodes-Vivour, popularly known as GRV, is a politician, activist, and architect from Nigeria. He ran as the Labour Party's candidate for governor of Lagos State in the gubernatorial election of 2023, where he came in second place and lost to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the outgoing governor. In the 2019 Senate elections, he was the People's Democratic Party's nominee for the Lagos West senatorial constituency.
Seun Okinbaloye was interviewing Gbadebo. wherein he responded to some queries.
Can one win an election in Nigeria without using unfair means?
"I think Peter Obi has proven to us that it is feasible, and he did so in 2023. By God's grace, I think the legal process will demonstrate that. He in and completely upended the system.
"I think you have to engage in what is known as "dirty politics" if you want to enter politics and play the game as it is now being played. Both the police and the individual who compromised INEC will need to be compromised. To combat the local lads who came to disenfranchise voters, you will need to enlist the aid of your own neighborhood boys.
