It was indeed a day of joy for the Borno State indigenous medical students who just graduated from medical school.
The state medical association, Borno State Medical and Dental Students Association (BOMSA), sent their students from being students to doctors.
The new doctors graduated at the University of Maiduguri (Maiduguri), Borno State 2020 set of doctors.
The event which was held at the famous auditorium of the University, El-Kanemi Hall.
It was graced by families, friends and invited guests.
The new fresh doctors were given special attention by the invited speakers who emphasized what they were to encounter in the outside world and how to surpass them when it comes.
They also implore them to serve well even as they will be going for their house job soon, they need to be resilient to get transformed into resident doctors. This is a bridge between medical school and residency.
They were also made to recollect that Borno State, which is their home, and Nigeria is their country as they must see its development no matter where they found themselves.
The outgoing President of the association, Tijjani Bukar Tijjani, expressed his appreciation for serving in such a capacity as the president of this outstanding set of people who were cooperative when the need arose. He further urged the new executives of the association to uphold the good works of which the association is identified with.
The new President of BOMSA, Tijjani Kaumi Kyari, felicitated with the new doctors and also wished them the best in their trainings.
Kyari, promised his administration would take the burden seeing that BOMSA grows in leaps and bounds and that every member will be fully represented and given the ground to air their view when so that their voice will be heard.
He thanked the invited guests, well-wishers and also congratulated the fresh doctors!
