Moroccan based clubside, Association Sportive de Salé, has completed the signing of former Nigeria U-23 ace, Saliu Popoola Sodiq from, Wydad Athletic de Fès.
Born on, 7 August 1994, 27-year old, Saliu Popoola Sodiq, started his Professional Football career with Nigerian based side, 36Lions.
After an impressive development stages with 36Lions, Saliu Popoola Sodiq landed in France where signed up for French Ligue 1 side, Football Club de Metz in 2012.
In search of playing time,Saliu Popoola Sodiq teamed up with Belgian based outfit, RFC Seraing in 2014, making (51) apperances, scoring (4) goals.
After his stint with, RFC Seraing, Saliu Popoola Sodiq teamed up with Moroccan side, Ittihad Khemisset in 2017, from where he made a switch to, Wydad Athletic de Fès in 2020.
It will be recalled, Popoola Sodiq list amongst the Nigeria U-23 team who won bronze in Olympics in 2016.
After routine medicals and documentation, the highly rated Nigerian was unveiled by his new Moroccan based side.
