The Lagos Branch of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) organized a walk to promote Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-candidacy Olu's for reelection.
Olatutu Oladunni, the body's chairman, led the walk, which drew sports journalists and aficionados.
Along the Opebi Link Bridge, Kudirat Abiola Way, Billings Way, and on to the Governor's Office in Alausa, it began in Opebi.
Oladunni stated during a speech at the governor's office that the walk for support was essential to rallying support for the current governor of Lagos State based on his entire record and in particular his unending support for sports and the Lagos SWAN.
"We at Lagos SWAN believe that the governor has done enough to merit a second term and so think it appropriate to host this walk. Governor Sanwo-Olu has accomplished a lot in the fields of education, infrastructure, sports, and youth development. This is seen in his support of numerous events, including the Lagos City Access Bank Marathon, Governor's Cup, and Oba Cup.
As a body, it is crucial that we take this action to express our gratitude for his government's assistance in enabling us finish our stunning secretariat at the National Stadium in Surulere, which the public now admires without reservation, added Oladunni.
