REPORTS: Manchester United willing to sign 25-year-old goalkeeper as replacement for David de Gea

Without much doubts, Manchester United football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their current squad when the transfer window opens next summer.

Despite their interesting form, Manchester United are keen on improvements and have been linked with a move for experienced Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel.

The 25-year-old Switzerland International, who signed up for Borussia Dortmund after departing Stuttgart back in 2021 has been an important member of the first-team squad.

The experienced shot-stopper has been hugely involved for Borussia Dortmund so far this ongoing 2022/2023 football season, making 25 appearances in all competitions.

His excellent performances between the sticks is believed to have caught the attention of Manchester United and according to reports from The Sun, the Red Devils are keen on signing him.

The reports further claimed that Manchester United are really interested in Gregor Kobel and have now added the experienced goalkeeper to their transfer list for the summer.

It is believed that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is on the lookout for an ideal replacement for David de Gea and he has now identified Gregor Kobel as a needed addition to his team.

But with Chelsea football club also interested in signing Gregor Kobel, it remains to be seen where the experienced goalkeeper will choose to continue his football career if he eventually gets to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
