Few hours ago, a prominent senator from the northern part (Adamawa) of the country, Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo, took to his social media platform (Facebook) to react after meeting the presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi, at a meeting organized by officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo said, "it was a glorious day in the presence of the Lord at the National Ecumenical Center Abuja during the swearing-in of the National Executive Committee members of the CAN." He added, "I was with Reverend Daniel Okoh who was sworn in as the New CAN President."
The prominent senator, who was formerly a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), added, "the roll call of people I met included the former governor of Anambra state; Peter Obi, who is the presidential flag bearer of Labour Party."
Senator Ishaku Abbo mentioned some other dignitaries who were present saying, "the roll call include the Secretary of the Federation; Chief Gida Mustapha, the Vice-presidential candidate of the PDP; Governor Patrick Okowa, the Governor of Benue state; Samuel Ortom, another Presidential Candidate named Dumebi Kachikwu and a host of many others."
The senator noted that at this moment, he believes it is possible for Nigerians to stand united in pursuance of the country's progress and development.
Senator Ishaku Abbo reminded Nigerians that the present insecurity and hardship being experienced know no tribe, social status, religion or geographical zone.
Lastly, Senator Elisha Abbo made a prayer saying, "may God give us leaders that have genuine love for Nigeria. Leaders with capacity that are sound physically and mentally." What do you think about this meeting?
