Chelsea were back in action in the UEFA Champions League today when they welcomed Borussia Dortmund to the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Blues had a delightful performance in the game as they convincingly defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 thanks to strikes from Kai Havertz and Raheem Sterling. The West Londoners will be in the quarterfinal stage of the competition this season after defeating the German side 2-1 on aggregate.
Well, Chelsea have now won their last two matches in all competitions which is very impressive considering the fact that they have struggled greatly to win games this year. The Blues didn't just win this game but they had an outstanding performance giving their opponent no chance of making a possible comeback in the competition. The team was very sharp and confident both offensively and defensively as they showed their determination to make the next round of the tournament this year.
Well, I believe Chelsea's recent pickup justifies why Todd Bohley was patient with Graham Potter. Graham Potter is one man who has been heavily criticized by fans for Chelsea's bad performances and results under his Management. Many fans called for his exit since he was delivering the right results at the club despite the several quality players at his disposal. The English Manager has recently redeemed himself by taking Chelsea to the quarterfinal stage of the UEFA Champions League this season. It goes to show Todd Bohley was right to have exercised patience with Graham Potter despite the team's poor performances.
