Onanuga: Please Let Ndigbo Accept My Apology For Such A Senseless Comment - Bode George

Chief Bode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has apologized to the igbos over the unfair statements made by Bayo Onanuga, a Former Director of publicity for the All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council.

As reported by Sahara Reporters, Bode George tendered his apology to the igbos while he received a delegation from the Lagos State Chapter of the non partisan, socio-political and economic organisation, Anya-Ndi-Igbo. He lamented that is is disheartening that Bayo Onanuga has not apologized to the igbos over his comments.

“It is sad that until now Onanuga has not apologised for the comment. Please let Ndigbo accept my apology for such a senseless comment.

"I expect Prof Wole Soyinka to tell him to apologise rather than be abusing Datti Baba-Ahmed.

“It is a misnomer, senseless and insane to make that kind of comment in a country where we are still trying to build the nation.

“How can you tell them that they can’t come here? Is that the culture of Lagos? Lagos is the commercial-nerve centre not only for Nigeria but for the whole of West Africa" - Bode George said

Speaking further he said - "And I want to apologise publicly for that kind of distastible statement by Bayo Onanuga".

The former PDP deputy National Chairman also threatened that Bayo Onanuga might be banned from Lagos he is not careful
