Nigerians have once out again gone out to their various polling units to exercise their rights by voting in the governoship election and State House of Assembly elections. However, there are some reports of violence and voters intimidation at some parts of the country.
Nigerian actress, Chioma Chukwuka has taken to social media to narrate how she escaped for her life at her polling unit after she was attacked by thugs welding dangerous weapons. In the video shared on her Instagram page, Chioma alleged that thugs attacked weilding knifes and bottles attacked her and smashed parts of her car. She stated that she fled the scene to escape for the safety as she was almost stabbed by a thug.
She said;
"Today is just the worst! I came out to vote, I couldn't even bring out my phone to record or to say I'm at my polling unit. As soon as I brought my phone out, these guys came to attack me with knifes, with bottles and everything!
I had to run out, they destroyed my side mirrors, hit my car, I don't even know the extent of the damage to the car but I just ran out for my life because they were bringing out knifes, they wanted to stab me and all of that. I thank God I came with some people."
She further revealed that she's heading to the military men to report the situation for further assistance.
