A professor of political science and a popular news editor, Jibrin Ibrahim may have questioned president Muhammadu Buhari's low level of participation in the campaigns of his party's presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Jibrin Ibrahim who is also a senior member for the center for democracy and development in Abuja while speaking on Arise News noted that former president Olusegun Obasanjo when he wanted to leave office in 2007 after his second term, campaigned for his then party's presidential candidate, Alhaji Musa Yaradua.
The professor who expressed surprise over Muhammadu Buhari's limited presence at the various rallies held by Asiwaju stressed that Obasanjo was at all rallies when he was campaigning for Yaradua, and was basically at the forefront and the main star.
In his words..."When Obasanjo was campaigning for Yaradua for an example, he was actually the star of the whole campaign, and was at every rally, so president Muhammadu Buhari hasn't showed that level of enthusiasm"
One will not be wrong to point out that Muhammadu Buhari has only featured himself in very few campaigns of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, despite his continued assurance to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
