A spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council and Minister of State Labour and Employment, Mr. Festus Keyamo had noted that since 1960, there hasn't been a single election in Nigeria that has not been disputed by losers.
Mr. Keyamo twitted this through his official Twitter handle on Friday.
According to him, Nigeria will no longer allow the losers to destroy the edifice of democracy for losing.
Mr. Keyamo's tweet reads: "Since 1960, there hasn’t been a SINGLE election in Nigeria that has not been disputed by the losers. We’ve been down this road before, but we are wiser now: unlike before, the nation will no longer allow the losers to destroy the entire edifice of democracy just because they lost"
Recall that they have been litigation proceedings following the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission. Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party had decided to challenge the outcome of the election in court.
