Peter Obi's Name Isn't On The Labour Party's List Submitted To The INEC - Bashir Ahmad Says

A former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has openly claimed that the name of the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, isn't on the Labour Party's membership list that was submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, thereby urging the INEC to disqualify him.

According to a tweet he made on his verified twitter handle, Bashir Ahmad stated that in line with the 2022 Electoral Act, the INEC is expected to disqualify the Labour Party's presidential candidate from contesting the forthcoming presidential election, claiming that Peter Obi's name was not on the Labour Party's membership list that was submitted to the electoral body.

Furthermore, the former presidential aide claimed the the Labour Party's membership list was submitted to the INEC on April 25, while Peter Obi became a Labour Party's member on May 26.

As it regards to this particular claim that was made by Bashir Ahmad, I really think that the Electoral Commission should look into this allegation. But nevertheless, we will wait patiently so as to see and know the outcome of everything.
