As the 2023 Governorship election draws closer in Oyo State, Political Gladiators across the State who have the ambition to contest for the election are preparing for it.
Not many citizens in Oyo State might know that the former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao Akala has said he won't be participating in the upcoming election, the announcement has paved way for two of his loyalist that are also in the same ruling party, All Progressive Congress.
As a political godfather in the state, here are two APC Topshots Akala can support to stop Governor Seyi Makinde from winning his second term as a Governor of the State.
The 2019 Governorship Candidate, Joseph Tegbe is a gentle, brilliant, calm and a reserved Politician. He is a loyalist of Alao Akala and be has been following his political discipline for decades.
Joseph Tegbe could be Alao-Akala's preferred candidate to wrestle power from Governor Seyi Makinde, if the necessity arises.
The second individual here that I believe the likes of Akala can support to become the next Governor while he himself just continues to act as a political godfather and an enabler is the past deputy governor, operations of the Central Bank of Nigeria and 2019 Oyo State gubernatorial candidate for the All Progressives Congress, Adebayo Adelabu. He has the temperance and cool-headedness needed to direct the affairs of a state like Oyo State.
Adelabu also have the political structure across the 33 Local Government Area in Oyo State and apart from that, he has the financial strength to battle Governor Seyi Makinde in 2023.
