Super eagles legend Emmanuel Amunike, has given his thoughts regarding the possibility of playing Victor Osimhen alongside compatriot Paul Onuachu, in the super eagles. Both strikers have been firing from all cylinders for their various clubs.
Although the coach of the super eagles, Gernot Rohr, seem to favor Victor Osimhen in terms of who leads the eagles attack, the former coach of the Golden Eglets believed that both players can start for team. But they can only do that depending on the playing system and plan of the coach.
According to him, it depends on the game plan and the system of the opponent. It also depends on what they are bringing into the team; in terms of attack and defense.
He expressed the optimism that the form of both strikers will help in Nigeria's quest for world cup qualification. But also warned against putting to much expectation on the players saying, "African football is totally different from European football."
