Some group of angry mob has reportedly set a sound young man ablaze for stealing wrappers inside Ihugh market located in Benue state. The terrible incident happened today, March 13 in Ihugh, vandeikya local government area of Benue State.
The young man met his end after he made away with some wrappers belonging to one market woman.
Angry mob who caught the young man at the popular market in Benue, gave him the beating of his life and finally set him ablaze.
Reports had it that two young men from Ihugh were burnt to death in Konshisha Local Government Area of the state early last month.
The jungle justice issued to the young man today was believed to be an act of retaliation from the death penalty issued to the two young men from Ihugh.
The young man was seen running with the fire and begging for mercy before he was burnt to death.
Before the arrival of the police the suspect was already burnt to death, meanwhile the police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident kicked against the jungle justice punishment given to the suspect adding that he should have been handed over to the police for quick action to be taken.
He ordered for a serious manhunt for those that carried out the act.
According to The SUN, the market women who witnessed the incident said the boy has been terrorising the entire market and has been making life unbearable them.
" Even with the boy terrorising people in the market it wasn' t enough for him to be burnt to death" one of the woman speaks.
Investigations is ongoing by the police and very soon the suspects be apprehended.
The police has also warned against jungle justice charging youths to keep away from jungle justice and report any case of robbery to the police.
